1. How old were you when you first started playing?
13 yrs old, guitar & singing
2. Who was/is your biggest musical inspiration?
It's too hard to list only one. Initially it was RUSH and Led Zeppelin. Once I started getting more into saxophone at 17 it became David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Cannonball Adderly, Grover Washington Jr. During college I became a Pat Metheny junkie :)
3. Where do you make your home?
Los Angeles, CA
4. Do you have any pets? (please tell us names and breeds)
2 Chihuahuas, 2 Himalayan cats, 1 Conyer bird (Olivia’s)
5. What is the best concert/gig you have ever done?
The most memorable was opening for Natalie Cole 3 nights at Radio City Music Hall in 1992
It was my first tour as a solo artist
6. What is the best concert you have ever attended?
U2 Joshua Tree tour in Hartford Connecticut, circa 1987/88?
7. Do you have an all-time favourite song?
That is tough. Stairway to Heaven is up there, mostly because it was my first real study of music when I was about 11. I analyzed the theory, and it made me practice a lot to master it on guitar and vocals.

9. If you weren't a musician what would you be?
Unemployed – ha-ha!
I was originally supposed to be an aerospace engineer - I went to University of Toronto for 1 year before going music school at Berklee.
10. What is your favourite thing about Vancouver?
I love the landscape, mountains and ocean right together and the proximity to great skiing like Whistler.
The city is also so nice because there are so many different little “scenes”
